Jungheinrich has introduced the EFG 5, a robust electric counterbalance forklift designed for heavy-duty use, offering capacities up to five tonnes and lift heights of 7,500mm. Engineered for multi-shift operations with no loss in performance, it features two drive motors, a new SRM+ lift motor, and a hydraulic system with 33% more oil flow for improved handling and speed.
Available in efficiencyPlus for energy savings or drive&liftPlus for peak performance, the EFG 5 also prioritises driver comfort with increased foot space, optimised pedals, premium seat options, reduced noise, and better visibility. Safety features include curveControl, driveControl, liftControl, zoneControl, and an optional AI-powered addedView camera to enhance awareness and automate hazard responses.
Buyers can choose between lead-acid and lithium-ion battery options and customise cab and equipment packages. The EFG 5 series will be available in Q3 2026.
