Toyota Material Handling Europe gets ready to release its completely redesigned Toyota Optio L-Series, a new generation of low level order pickers that redefines warehouse efficiency. Engineered for demanding multi-shift operations and high pick rates, the L-Series offers ergonomic design, energy efficiency and advanced safety features.

Taking performance to the next level

Designed with the operator in focus, the new Toyota Optio L-Series introduces industry-leading ergonomic upgrades. From increased platform lift heights and reduced step-in access to versatile model configurations supporting loads up to 2.5 tons, these order pickers are tailored to maximise productivity with minimal operator effort.

With its six updated models within the range (OSE250/P, OSE120/P, OSE200X/180XP), Toyota Material Handling offers a suitable solution for every requirement in order picking, especially within the fast-paced FMCG sector.  The range of low level order picking trucks covers different applications, offering optimised material handling and ergonomically efficient working heights.

Enhanced platform damping minimises vibrations, while a spacious operator platform increase comfort as well as productivity, wide entry – the widest in its class, and standard knee protection support intensive picking tasks. The platform lift height has also been increased to 1195 mm, allowing for operators to easily reach picking heights up to 2,8 m. Optional features such as side-mounted walkie buttons and expanded storage optimise productivity in the picking process.

Toyota Material Handling’s order picker L-Series sets a new benchmark in energy efficiency, operating 10% more effectively than its predecessor. Its optimised weight contributes directly to reduced energy consumption, making each operation more efficient. Flexible battery configurations-from durable lead-acid to high-performance lithium-ion—extend runtime while lowering overall operating costs. Intelligent service access further enhances cost-effectiveness.

Safety as standard

With safety as a top priority, the Toyota Optio L-Series is equipped with intelligent control features such as PIN-code login, Smart Access (optional) and the proven Optimised Truck Performance (OTP) for automatic speed reduction when cornering and during load handling. A redesigned ergonomic backrest with side grips provides additional support when stepping onto the platform and aids in maneuvering when reversing, while integrated blue or red warning lights and positioning lights helps create awareness around moving forklifts in busy environments. These features actively contribute to accident prevention and improve safety for both operators and their surroundings.

“Continuous improvements and quality are at the heart of everything we do. Our newly launched Optio L-series order picker features a sleek design and advanced engineering to enhance safety, reduce energy consumption, increase driver comfort, and deliver the next level of operational performance. As the logistics sector continues to grow and evolve, productivity is key. This new solution empowers our customers to run efficient, future-ready operations with confidence.” says Jose Maria Gener, Vice President Sales & Marketing at Toyota Material Handling Europe.
